Biebrza trip report in Anima Mundi magazine

This time we are happy to share another great piece of work and art of our friends Antonella & Andrea Ferrari.

In the issue #5 of the Anima Mundi magazine they covered in detail their trip to the Biebrza Marshes with us in autumn 2010 and the Biebrza elk even made it onto the cover of the magazine! Hooray! :)

Biebrza in May photoreport

If you hesitate wherer to visit Biebrza Marshes or Białowieża Forest – do not! Visit both since it is impossible to say which is a better place for birds in spring :) For us, the only problem is picking the best out of hundreds of good photos.. :)

In case you wondered what it’s like here now..

In the Białowieża Forest all the woodpeckers are busy with their broods – either making nestholes, incubating or even feeding. We have successfully seen the whole set a number of times already this spring. Pygmy Owls are active in their territories and Hazel Grouse can also be seen without much effort. (more…)

Biebrza trails in GPS

Good news to all who use GPS receivers in the field.

Now all the walking and cycling trails in the Biebrza National Park are available in GPS format to download. A list of paths with a map has been posted at the NP webpages here »
