“Dear Lukasz, it seems like a long time now since Tom and I were in Poland. Hope you had a good spring. Just wantedm, belatedly, to say thanks for all your help in arranging our trip to Poland in may. It was an excllent trip for us. I have written a report which is online at http://www.robots.ox.ac.uk/~ian/Birding in case you are interested. Hope to return some time in the near future.”

“Thank you for your very interesting website – one of the best I’ve ever seen about guided trips and nature – where we can find very precious informations to prepare a stay in your beautifull Poland’s wilderness areas of Bialowieza forest and the Biebrza marshes.

Also, congratulations for your book Bialowieza Site Guide, a real must for every person interested to go straight to the point. What an excellent work and idea! I ordered it after my last stay in North-East Poland and I am sure that it will be very helpfull for my next journey in this so special forest. I am looking forward to going back in Bialowieza and using it on the field. It is always fascinating to walk through this unique and well-preserved forest and try to enconuter one of its well-hidden treasure, alone or with the excellent company of Mateus and Arek in the Strict Reserve.

Thank you for for your professionalism and for sharing with us your passion, knowledge and precious work.

All the best in the future”

“Hi Lukasz, it was good to meet you last week.  As I mentioned both your site guides proofed invaluble to us in both finding the sites and what birds are at a site and for the independant birder are think they are a must.  Although to see Great Snipe a guide is recomended as we found out without Tomasz we would still be looking for them!”

Antonella & Andrea Ferrari, Italy, 19 March 2011

A report published in ANIMA MUNDI – the FREE quarterly wildlife photography magazine »

“(…) a seriously motivated, experienced wildlife guide. We have been exceptionally lucky in this respect having secured the services of Lukasz Mazurek, the founder and owner of WildPoland.com and author of the highly recommended and exhaustive WildPoland Bialowieza and Biebrza Site Guides – an enthusiastic, highly motivated, exceptionally informative young man who, besides being a very pleasant companion, was able to successfully track down our wary subjects – thanks in no small measure to his relentless obstination in making us happy. Make no mistake, the animals are there – but it takes a lot of experience in the field to find them in the right place and at the right time, so the contribution of a local experienced guide is absolutely essential if one does not want to rely on luck alone or be sorely disappointed, and we can safely recommend Lukasz and his small but highly professional company for a custom-designed trip.”

Lieven Nachtergale, Belgium, 19 March 2011

“(…) congratulations with these 6 new chapters. They are really great. As is the entire new site guide. Two years ago I bought your Biebrza Site Guide while we stayed in Jaglowo for 10 days (end of July). It is a book that I have read only 152 times since then. (Even when we were birdwatching in Turkey!)

That book was also the reason why I decided to visit Poland again but this time in spring.”

Birckel Jean-François, France, 11 Oct 2010

I went in Northeast Poland a few years ago. It was at the end of September. I met Lukasz Mazurek in Biebrza, he is a very good guide, a very professional and very nice fellow. I met Mateusz Szymura at Bielowieza too: an unforgettable guy! I would like to meet us again and walk in this marvellous wild country with us.

Andrea Ferrari, Italy, 7 Oct 2010

Lukasz, first of all, let us thank you once more for an absolutely fantastic trip – you’ve been a wonderful, reliable, very pleasant, remarkably informative and highly professional guide. Kudos to you ;-) !

Phil Hackett, 10 Sept 2010

In early May George and I (Phil) the Manc/Scouse duo took a 4 day trip with Luke both in the forest and the Marshes. Our interest was a generalist approach… birds, large mammals, plants, insects, forest ecosystems, etc. And Luke delivered BIG time for us in every one. Cheers mate!

When you take a guided trip without a recommendation, you’re taking a punt on the guide who will lead you, to show you what you want to see and him/her having the local knowledge and expertise to deliver for you. In Luke’s case have no fear because he does in big shovels fulls.

For a young guy (well he’s young to George and I anyway :0), he has one the most comprehensive understandings and knowledge of an area I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Over the years, I’ve been in the company of many so-called local experts, none of which in my view could hold a candle to him.

The guy misses nothing! He has a personality to match his knowledge and understanding with a very good sense of fun and humour. It took him about 2 minutes after meeting both of us to tune into the Scouse/Manc sense of humour that George and I have.

I hope that being in our company was as interesting and pleasurable for you Luke, as it was for us being in yours!”

John Bescoby, UK, 22 June, 2010

I have found a lot of information on this site, very useful and accurate. On a recent trip to Poland I met Lukasz who is very knowledgable and willing to share information. A good web site and a very nice person.

Evelyne Pellaton, Switzerland, May 31, 2010

Lukasz, it was an exciting trip thanks to you. You did a great job. I thank you for all you did for us so that we could see a lot of birds, mammals, landscapes … Thanks for your explanations during these 10 days.

Mark Stadie, UK, May 25, 2010

I would just like to say thanks very much to you and Mateusz for all your help and advice during my visit to Poland, and especially to Arek. The trip to the forest was excellent, not only for the birds, but his great wealth of knowledge of all the flora and fauna.

The trip to the Great Snipe site was simply unforgettable, with the birds jumping and flying under the lighting flashes of the approaching storm- quite magical!

Beyond this, Arek saved my trip from being ruined (my tripod had been broken on the aeroplane in my luggage) when he lent me his tripod for the rest of the week. This was very kind (…)

Thanks again, I would certainly recommend you to other birders wanting to visit Poland, and would love to return one day myself.

Franck Renard, Belgium, May 11, 2010

I am just back from my stay in Poland. These few words to say to you that your Biebrza Site Guide was precious. Your information is the real “gold mine”.

Thanks to your work, I won a lot of time and I was able to go to the best places, in the best conditions. I realized numerous pictures and I had a lot of happiness to observe birds in this magnificent region of Biebrza.

Thank you still for your sharing of knowledge and your excellent work.

Markus Mauthe, Greenpeace – Germany

Thank you Lukasz for your wonderful work in Poland’s wilderness areas. Bringing people close to the wonders of nature is the best way to raise awareness about the need to protect this last remaining paradises.

I for myself can´t wait to get back to the bison herd. All the best for you and your important work.

Rob Lee, UK

Hi all, with your help we had a fantastic week in Poland as well as superb weather as an added bonus. The regular updates of info on the website before we left the UK were most useful. Thanks.

Peter M. Macdonald

“I was one of the first to buy your first guide book in PDF format. It was very useful when we visited Poland in the summer.”

Pere Alzina i Bilbeny

“Dear Lukasz, thanks for answering my questions with the maximum details u can give me (…) Congratulations for your website which is by far the best I’ve seen about nature guided trips. It’s outstanding!”

David and Ben Eaton & Peter Sofley, May 30, 2009

(…) thanks for all the information that you gave us, arranging for Arek to show us around and especially the Biebrza Site Guide. We had a brilliant time and saw many excellent birds. Highlights included seeing all 10 woodpeckers, the 3 big Eagles, Hazel Grouse, Citrine Wagtail, Aquatic Warbler (…) We did well to see 5 Bison at Teremiski, a Beaver at Tykocin and a few Moose. Excellent trip, Poland is great.

Ignaas Robbe, Harelbeke – Belgium

I’ve browsed through the Biebrza Site Guide PDF file and I must say it looks pretty fantastic; only people who are often in the Biebrza can give such good, practical and clear information.

Pat and Bob Rishton, May 5, 2009

We are very impressed with our downloaded Site Guide. A very thorough, easy to read, well laid out guide. It was a very easy way to access information and has printed out well. It also does not matter if we get the information wet or muddy in the field as we can just print another copy off on our return! Well done.

David Eaton, May 8, 2009

I have bought the Biebrza Site Guide and I am very pleased with it. As for the guide it is very detailed with a wealth of sites mentioned that I haven’t read about anywhere else. I am especially pleased with the sites given for Spotted Eagle and Greenish Warbler. I have scoured the Internet looking for reliable sites for these two species and have found very little on them so that is brilliant. Thank you very much.

Erik Chankiewitz, Germany

Thank you, Łukasz, for bringing us in close with the beautiful landscape. You have highlighted our trip to Poland. Your knowledge is amazing. And we are very sure that we will come back.

Thomas, http://webmeister.ch/blog

Your Website is a very useful and interesting resource for all birdwatchers who intend to visit your region. You did a very good job. I was also impressed by the new Biebrza Site Guide. It looks like this guide is a must for all Biebrza visitors.

Miriam Baines, naturalengland.org.uk

“Thanks to you I returned from the tour with a fascinating view into the history and ecology of Eastern and Southern Poland (…) Your intricate knowledge of the wildlife and region made the trip for me”

Laura McGregor, Newbury UK

“Thank you so much for leading our tour. You were so lovely to all of us, very professional, full of enthusiasm & knowledge. I have come away with fond memories of Poland as a result”
