In case you wondered what it’s like here now..

In the Białowieża Forest all the woodpeckers are busy with their broods – either making nestholes, incubating or even feeding. We have successfully seen the whole set a number of times already this spring. Pygmy Owls are active in their territories and Hazel Grouse can also be seen without much effort. (more…)

Season’s last trip photoreport

The Autumn is slowly giving up against The Winter. Last week we’ve spent a few days enjoying some great wildlife. Although it started to snow, we’ve been quite lucky with our sightings.

Bialowieza reccy trip

Just came back from a reccy that we did with Jezior in the forest. Had to check out a few sites, crossroads, shortcuts and distances. All of that just to provide you with the most up-to-date info in our long awaited Bialowieza Site Guide soon to be published :)

Autumn here

Although we’re now focused on getting the next Site Guide ready for you, we do some guiding in the meantime. Last days I have spent guiding for Biebrza Eco-Travel.

We’ve had a great time watching something like 9 Elks, a White-tailed Eagle, dozens of Cranes and Greylag Geese at dawn, Goosanders, Egrets and Herons. Many northern birds already arrived – we saw loads of Bullfinches, (more…)
