New winter trip photo report – Bison, Beaver and Elk
Hi there,
Just came back from a week long trip in our snowy Białowieża Forest and Biebrza Marshes. We have had some pretty great sightings and the weather was excellent. But let the photos speak for themselves. Please enjoy a small sample of what we have seen and photographed, below:
Biebrza in May photoreport
If you hesitate wherer to visit Biebrza Marshes or Białowieża Forest – do not! Visit both since it is impossible to say which is a better place for birds in spring 
For us, the only problem is picking the best out of hundreds of good photos..

April trips photoreport
In case you wondered what it’s like here now..
In the Białowieża Forest all the woodpeckers are busy with their broods – either making nestholes, incubating or even feeding. We have successfully seen the whole set a number of times already this spring. Pygmy Owls are active in their territories and Hazel Grouse can also be seen without much effort. (more…)

The Autumn is slowly giving up against The Winter. Last week we’ve spent a few days enjoying some great wildlife. Although it started to snow, we’ve been quite lucky with our sightings.

Autumn here
Although we’re now focused on getting the next Site Guide ready for you, we do some guiding in the meantime. Last days I have spent guiding for Biebrza Eco-Travel.
We’ve had a great time watching something like 9 Elks, a White-tailed Eagle, dozens of Cranes and Greylag Geese at dawn, Goosanders, Egrets and Herons. Many northern birds already arrived – we saw loads of Bullfinches, (more…)
Eagles trip report
Eager for eagles we’ve had a trip around Biebrza yesterday with Wisent Reisen from Zurich.. With Erik, his wife and lovely daughters we visited Zygmunta Augusta lake, Mscichy, Brzostowo, Burzyn, Bagno Lawki and Goniadz. Results? Seems that Lesser Spotted Eagles have already left.. but we’ve been lucky with others (more…)
Bison Patrol report
Last tuesday I had a chance to guide Thomas and Sylvia from Germany/Austria in the Bialowieza Forest. We didn’t expect much as for this time of the year, nevertheless we decided to try and go Bisoning. Just after the first meters we walked into the forest, clear Bison tracks could be seen on the path which was a good sign we were on the right track.
