Hello everyone,
As usual – this spring we have had no time to post any updates since we have all been in the field most of our time. Below you will find a set of pictures taken during our trips in Białowieża, this May.
I hope that these photos show how magnificent and tame birdlife can be here in spring. Enjoy! (more…)
April trips photoreport
In case you wondered what it’s like here now..
In the Białowieża Forest all the woodpeckers are busy with their broods – either making nestholes, incubating or even feeding. We have successfully seen the whole set a number of times already this spring. Pygmy Owls are active in their territories and Hazel Grouse can also be seen without much effort. (more…)

Bison Patrol report
Last tuesday I had a chance to guide Thomas and Sylvia from Germany/Austria in the Bialowieza Forest. We didn’t expect much as for this time of the year, nevertheless we decided to try and go Bisoning. Just after the first meters we walked into the forest, clear Bison tracks could be seen on the path which was a good sign we were on the right track.
It is difficult to write what happened later.. (more…)
