Bird arrival dates posted

The awaited bird arrival table is now online in the wildlife calendar section. Now you can check what the median date of arrival of the species you want to see is. I hope you will find it useful in planning your trip, let me know!

The data in the table comes from over seven years of observations made by the members of the PTOP – Polish Society for the Protection of Birds in recent years. We’ve been successfully using it ourselves for many years now. I also thought the German names could be useful to some of you.. and sorry, no more space there for French and Dutch.. :) Maybe later..

And there will be more info comin’ in the wildlife calendar section so stay tuned!

  1. Hi
thanks for this great list, especially the german names.

    I just found two errors:

Coracias garrulus Roller Wiedehopf (correct Blauracke)
Upupa epops Hoopoe Smaragdspint (correct Wiedehopf)

  2. Hey Thomas,

Thanks for that, just corrected. Hope there’s no more bugs.. funny things can happen when it becomes too automatic :)

BTW. Looks like you’re the first person to comment on this blog. Remind me (lukasz@wildpoland.com) to send you a FREE copy of the Biebrza Site Guide pdf when it’s finished and available online. How ’bout that? :)

I was a pleasure to be the first commenter on your blog.

Cool, thanks in advance for the Biebrza Site Guide. I like that region. I visited the Biebrza Region twice in 2006 an 2008.

  4. Luke,

I just downloaded the preview of the new Biebrza Site Guide. A beatiful and very useful guide for Biebrza Bird Watchers.

I would like to receive the promised copy of this guide. After reading I will post a review on my blog.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards from Switzerland,
    Thomas
