Ruffs rule

I’ve had a short Biebrza trip today with friends from Wisent Reisen. The two spots are definitely recommended and worth visiting now: Mścichy and Brzostowo. They are just full of displaying Ruffs, Wood Sandpipers, Spotted Redshanks, White-winged and Whiskered Terns. Want more? Biebrza Site Guide released!

If you wondered why I kept quiet in the last days now you know.. Not only has the season started and I’m in the field often but we’ve been publishing the Biebrza Site Guide in the meantime as well. I wouldn’t ever have thought this could be so much work.. :)

Anyway, the printed perfect paperback edition will be out on the 5th May and in the meantime we’ve launched the PDF edition that is now available in our little shop (more…)

Spring full-blown

Spring is finally full-blown in the Biebrza. Marsh Marigolds flower en masse and should be there for the next 3 weeks. More and more waders arrive and Ruffs undeniably reign. First Terns and Warblers showed up and there will be more coming every day now. (more…)
