Full list of birds posted
Just posted a full list of birds of the NE Poland. It’s got breeders, birds passing and vagrants plus wintering status. It’s probably not perfect and one could argue about some of the species statuses. Let me know if you find any of the information there irrelevant. Rospuda Valley saved!!!
Celebration day! Polish government will announce today the ring road of Augustow will not cut through the precious marshes and thus the primaeval habitat with its fauna and flora will be saved! More news on www.thenews.pl

Bird fotosafari
Last Saturday I was out guiding the Nikon Klub Polska staff (gosh thay had big lenses ) for Biebrza Eco-Travel. We saw some great flocks of Geese, many Cranes and stuning landscapes.
Biebrza and Narew are now free of ice and vast flooding covers large areas. (more…)

Spring is still young my friends, I met the mighty Winter today.. Biebrza’s still in the ice and snow. Saw the first White Stork though! And of course there’s lots of tame geese out performing superbly well. I also met locals celebrating St. Paddys Day – can you believe it? Could hardly get away without having a drink (more…)
